The 12th Annual Carlisle Skills Fair to Go Ahead in 2026

 

The event, organised by former Carlisle MP John Stevenson, will be held at Carlisle College on Thursday, January 22nd from 2pm to 6.30pm. Commenting John said:

 

“I’m delighted to say that the annual Carlisle Skills Fair is now a permanent fixture in the diary of many Cumbrian people and businesses. The organisation and hosting of the event is one of my proudest achievements to date. Every year the event gets bigger and better and 2025 saw record numbers of employers, training providers, young people and job seekers attending from all over the region. Bringing job seekers, and young people in particular, together with skills providers and employers with the jobs of the future, is so important for the future prosperity of our region. I want everyone in Carlisle and Cumbria to be able to grasp the opportunities on offer and be happy and successful in life. The skills fair is the perfect way to help people be equipped with the right skills and experience for those jobs and careers. As always, I am grateful for the support of our sponsors, The Cumberland, Persimmon Homes and pladis. Over 75 exhibitor places have already been taken alongside Carlisle College, Gen2, Inspira, Jobcentre Plus, JTL Training, Lakes College, PHX Training, SP Training, and the University of Cumbria.”
